WCU celebrated a new, permanent home for the Resource Pantry, which was created one year ago for a growing number of students who demonstrate need for basic essentials. The pantry, which had to be relocated to Commonwealth Hall due to its increased use by students experiencing financial challenges, now has expanded space, fresh food from the University's two gardens, and business attire services.
During an anniversary food drive, 230 pounds of food was collected in bins located across campus.
Open to all West Chester University students, the pantry not only provides food and necessities, but also offers additional tools such as cooking demonstrations focused on preparing nutritious meals and workshops on career readiness and financial literacy.
